DM Scripts

DMs should feel like a real person noticed the business. Keep the first message short enough that they can answer without thinking, then move toward a quick informal Zoom with Matt.

First DM

Hey [Name], quick question. Are you the person who handles the website/online presence for [Business Name]?

After they reply yes

Nice. I work with Matt from Sites By Matt. He helps local businesses clean up their website so it looks more trustworthy and makes it easier for people to call, book, or request a quote.

Would you be open to a quick informal Zoom where he takes a look and shows you what he would improve?

Soft compliment angle

You clearly have a real business. I just think the website/online first impression might be able to work a little harder for you.

Matt is good at spotting the small things that make people trust a business faster. Want me to set up a quick Zoom with him?

If they ignore

No worries if now is not the time. I figured I would ask because a quick site cleanup can sometimes make a big difference in how many people actually reach out.

Should I leave it alone, or would a quick informal review be useful?

If they ask price

Depends on whether it is a new site or a cleanup. Simple builds start at $500 and revamps start at $350, but Matt would rather look first and recommend the right fit than guess in a DM.

Booking DM

Easy. What usually works better for you, earlier in the day or later? And what is a good email for Matt to send the Zoom link to?
